At Alert Level 3: Step 2 you can travel throughout Auckland for exercise and recreation outdoors. Our early childhood centres are open for enrolled children only.

Some customer-facing facilities like service centres and community centres are now open. Essential services continue.

Local elections

The local elections for the Auckland region are held every three years by postal vote. The elections determine who will become the mayor, councillors, and local board members and make decisions on behalf of all Aucklanders.

Voting for the local elections 2022 will open on Friday 16 September 2022 and close at 12 noon on Saturday 8 October 2022.
