You should know
The building consent office will be closed between 20 December 2018 and 10 January 2019. These dates will not count toward the standard 20-working day processing time, so please take this into account when applying.
You will be able to book pre-application meetings from 23 January 2019.
Complete and send two printed copies of your application along with supporting documents (including the relevant lodgement checklist) to:

What happens next
It can take us up to
20 working days to assess your building consent application.
Your allocated service manager will contact you if we need more information - see How we assess your building consent application.
If you have lodged your consent online, you can access and track:
- resource consents
- building consents
- required inspections
- advice notes and conditions
- code compliance certificate applications
- licencing applications.
We will also let you know the outcome of your application by email and post.
You need to pay all outstanding fees before we can issue your consent.
