Where to cast a special vote

If you have not yet enrolled to vote, or your voting papers get damaged or lost, you will need to cast a special vote.

How to cast a special vote

You will need to sign a special voting declaration, which needs to be witnessed. Anyone aged 18 or over can act as a witness, including an election official.

Our tip

You do not need to present your ID to cast a special vote.

These service centres will be open from 9am to 12pm (midday) on Saturday 12 October.

​Enrol to vote

You must be enrolled to vote in the local elections. If you voted in previous local or parliamentary elections, you should still be enrolled.
