How to apply for a minor engineering approval

Only use this online form for minor works, such as:

  • public stormwater and/or wastewater connections within the site
  • renewal of a public stormwater pipe to the same grade and alignment
  • isolated rehabilitation of existing pipe or manhole
  • raising or lowering a public manhole lid.

We only accept online applications for minor engineering approvals. If you are unable to apply digitally, visit one of our libraries with council services for assistance in making your online application.

Engineering approval - minor

 

If there is no way to provide digital copies of your plans or documents, visit one of our libraries with council services. Our staff will accept your documents, but it may incur an additional charge to cover the costs involved with us scanning your documents into our digital consent system.

Our tip

At the end of the process, you may need to pay the maintenance bond.

What happens next

We aim to process engineering plan approvals within 20 working days. Approval takes longer when additional information is required.

We will let you know the decision by email.

  3. As-built documentation review and completion, and transferring ownership of an asset (like infrastructure).
