At Alert Level 3: Step 1 you can travel throughout Auckland for exercise and recreation outdoors. Our early childhood centres are open for enrolled children only.

Customer-facing facilities like leisure centres, community venues, customer service centres and libraries will remain closed until further notice. Essential services will continue.

Wear a face covering, use the NZ COVID Tracer app, maintain a 2m physical distance, wash your hands, and stay home if you are sick.

Wharves Bylaw 2015

The Wharves Bylaw regulates the use of council-owned or -operated wharves and boat ramps in the former Auckland City and Rodney districts.

​What the Wharves Bylaw does

The bylaw:

  • specifies use requirements, including time limits on usage, closure, and compliance with directions
  • prohibits damage, nuisance and obstruction
  • specifies the requirements for vehicles
  • regulates licencing and the setting of fees
  • regulates trading
  • limits activities like water skiing, swimming or fishing
  • regulates the loading or unloading of animals and goods, including record keeping.
